Our markbook module was launched in July 2025 (first release OneGrade v1.40.0) and has been designed with clarity and ease of use in mind. We’ve managed to produce a highly intuitive system which enables you to record marks quickly and efficiently, while also providing very powerful reporting capabilities.
Below is the main grid where staff record marks – any or all elements of the course can be displayed and marked in a single grid:

Existing markbook structures and data can be imported from your current markbook.
Markbook grids can be set to Auto Save and data input is fully audited.
Unit and Assessment completion & grades can be set to update instantly based on Criteria marked as complete.
Teachers can control exactly which fields are visible in the markbook grid (including several user defined fields):

Responsive reports – data for teachers and managers is then instantly available at group, course, department and whole college level in the Summary Statistics tab:

Maintenance of the markbook structure is a single click away – management of the structure is contained within a pop-up screen accessed directly from the main grid:

To assist teachers in determining overall progress grades, the existing in-year progress page has a new pop-up to show a summary of work completed and other relevant data for each student:

We’ve made our markbook as easy to use as possible and requiring minimum training and documentation. Below you can view three concise documents covering each of the main areas of the system:
